Motown Tango Marathon is a three-day gathering focused on social Argentine Tango.

The weekend is built around long tandas, thoughtful DJs, and a welcoming dance floor—space to settle in, connect, and dance deeply.

While social dancing is the heart of the marathon, the weekend also includes select performances by guest teachers and champions, along with shoe and clothing vendors for dancers.

The event takes place at Wayne State University’s historic St. Andrew Hall, a beautiful space well suited for music, movement, and connection.

Each year, Motown Tango Marathon grows organically while staying focused on what matters most: music, community, and time on the floor.

We look forward to welcoming both familiar faces and new dancers to Motown.
